We were excited at the opportunity to review the new PawsOFF Protective Bed Cover for just this reason. We received a double bed sized cover (they also come in twin, queen, and king) and ordered Sand color, which we thought would best camouflage the various hair colors of our pack. (Other options are a beautiful Chocolate color and Charcoal.)

PawsOff was very easy to put on the bed thanks to the very wide elastic straps at each corner. Like a fitted sheet, the PawsOFF goes over the mattress…and over everything else on the bed including the comforter and the pillows. Since Paris has asthma, we’re always trying to keep the pillows free of both dust and pet hair so this will be a great solution to that problem.

The 100 percent polyester cover has a soft, blanket-like texture (closeup, right) the dogs and cats enjoyed cozying up to during the day; when it came time to remove it at night, the cover was easy to pull off the bed, exposing the clean, fresh linens. After a few days, we tossed the cover in the washing machine then dryer where it dried quickly then resumed its place on the bed to keep it free of pet hair. A big paws up!

It’s time to show you our new favorite product called

This is really great for keeping icky paws and the yuck off our bed. I mean there’s no way these gals are ever gonna stay off our bed so we need all the help we can get to keep things clean! There’s a cool video demo on their site too.

I must admit, when I first heard of the PawsOff Protective Bed Cover I wasn’t sure that I would be sold on the product but did see where it might be highly beneficial for some pet owners, so I thought I’d give it a trial run. FIVE PAW rating folks! The cover is intended to pull over the entire bed, pillows and all, and easily fit snuggly on my deep, pillow-top Queen mattress.

The elastic bands worked nicely keeping the cover in place even when my neighbor’s Pit Bull jumped up and started pawing at it. Sunny has a habit of tearing the bed covers off her mom’s bed while Camila is at work, so you can imagine that once my friend saw her beloved Sunny was unable to “unmake” the PawsOff cover – she took mine! After all, nothing makes a bedroom look more unsightly than an unmade bed. Plus with the PawsOff cover, you’ll be able to relax and crawl under clean sheets at the end of a long day because PawsOff protects your linen from hair, dander, odor and dirty paws.

When my partner and I unraveled it, the first thing we noticed was how thick the cover was – and noted that it might not be the most breathable material for these summer months, but this thing would rock in winter, a colder climate or a home blessed with air conditioning. It has four thick, elastic garters on all ends that make it easy to attach to the bed, and the product slid easily over the mound of pillows by the headboard.
